Karrion Kross recently secured a WWE premium live event match in over a year.

Fans have been upset with the treatment Kross has received over the last few months, voicing their opinions on social media.

He mainly featured in multiple backstage segments that never culminated into a storyline.

Until now, that is.

Of late, Karrion Kross has set his eyes on Sami Zayn.

The two have crossed paths and exchanged words, with Kross often playing mind games, saying how Zayn will never be a World Champion.

On the June 23 WWE RAW episode, they came face-to-face again, a segment that ended with Zayn punching Kross square in the face.

Soon, it was announced that the pair would square off at Night of Champions in Riyadh on June 28.

Karrion Kross May Lose On Purpose at Night Of Champions

WWE fans are liking the segments involving Karrion Kross and Sami Zayn, prompting them to speculate on the direction in which the storyline is headed.

On the latest REBOOKED Wrestling Podcast, former WWE star Aiden English presented his piece on what might happen at Night of Champions.

I think he (Zayn) wins the battle but loses the war kind of thing. I think Kross is willing to take the L, like, almost intentionally in some way. It’s not the same thing, but I think it’ll be more subtler or something, the old idea of, like, down on my knees, hit me with the chair or whatever. Like, do it.

The panel also agreed that the outcome of the match does not matter, given the uncertainty surrounding Kross’ intentions.

Zayn recently competed in the King of the Ring Tournament, where he lost to Randy Orton in the semi-finals.

Orton will face Cody Rhodes, who qualified by defeating Jey Uso, in the final at NOC, with the winner getting a championship match at SummerSlam.
