Karrion Kross, Keith Lee And More Released By WWE

Karrion Kross, Keith Lee and Nia Jax are among a raft of Superstars who have been released by WWE.

Throughout 2021 WWE have released an ever-growing list of Superstars going back to April when the likes of Mickie James and The IIconics left the company. Further cuts followed in June with Braun Strowman and the former Aleister Black heading for pastures new.

More departures followed by the end of the month, while a host of NXT Superstars were released in August. The likes of Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole also left the company for AEW when their contracts expired.

Among the new releases are former NXT Champions Karrion Kross and Keith Lee. Both men’s releases are somewhat surprising as they had recently received updated characters, and in Lee’s case a new name. Kross’ partner Scarlett and Lee’s partner Mia Yim have also been released.

Former Women’s Champion Nia Jax is also among those leaving WWE, having being with the company since 2014.

Harry Smith, son of WWE Hall of Famer the British Bulldog has also been released despite only returning to the company in July.

After re-signing, Smith competed in one dark match before contracting COVID-19. He didn’t appear on television before being released.
