Karrion Kross May Have Hinted At Leaving WWE After SummerSlam
Karrion Kross’ days in WWE might be numbered.
According to many news outlets, Kross’ WWE contract is set to expire this summer, probably around August. There is still no news about whether Kross and WWE have decided on a new contract. However, there have been multiple reports with veterans and critics suggesting that the company is undermining his influence on TV to negotiate a cheaper contract.
In the past few months, Karrion Kross’s popularity has seen an incredible surge, with him selling a significant amount of merchandise on the WWE shop. He’s managed to connect with the audience after years of an underwhelming run. So, leaving the Stamford-based promotion at this time when he’s finally starting to gain a bit of momentum in the company would surely be a bummer.
Karrion Kross Adds a Stipulation for SummerSlam Match
WWE recently put a clip on social media, where Kross interrupted Sami Zayn’s backstage interview with Corey Graves. He admitted to wanting to hurt Zayn again with a steel pipe, but stopped because he wanted him to make it to their SummerSlam match.
He then put forward a proposition stating that if he wins, Zayn will have to admit that he was telling the truth about Zayn being a liar who deceives the fans, the people at home, and even himself. He added that if he fails to defeat Zayn at WWE’s biggest Summer platform, then he’ll stop punishing Zayn and go away for good.
Karrion Kross stating that he’ll “go away” can be interpreted as a hint that he might leave WWE after SummerSlam. If Kross suffers defeat at Summerslam, it might lead him to walk away from his rivalry with Zayn and WWE altogether.
