Karrion Kross Denies WWE Exit Is A Work
Karrion Kross and Scarlett have left WWE.
After weeks and months of speculation, it was finally confirmed on August 10 that Karrion Kross and Scarlett had left WWE. Throughout 2025, the couple had enjoyed a remarkable spike in popularity, but despite that, they now find themselves free agents.
Kross was most recently in action at SummerSlam, where he lost to Sami Zayn. The loss meant that Zayn had emerged from their three matches with two wins, which only added to the feeling that his WWE career was over.
However, there’s been mounting speculation that Kross’s exit is nothing more than a storyline, and he’ll eventually return to television. Many believe the company is looking to replicate the situation around R-Truth, where he left before making a surprise return.
But according to the man himself, that isn’t the case.
Karrion Kross Is Sticking To His Story
During a new interview with Ariel Helwani, Kross began by again denying that leaving WWE was part of a storyline or some kind of “work.” He went on to add that he would be answering all questions as “Kevin” and not in character.
During the conversation, Karrion Kross confirmed that he was offered a contract by WWE before he ultimately left the company. However, those talks over a new deal left him somewhat confused.
He said that when he asked for some metrics or analytics to see how WWE had come to figure they were offering, he was told he had 24 hours to sign the contract or it would be rescinded. The next day, he communicated that he wasn’t in a position to make a decision without the information he asked for, and the offer was duly taken back.
Karrion Kross added that his wife, Scarlett, didn’t receive an offer, with the company telling him that they planned to talk to her after wrapping up his contract. Although that didn’t end up happening, at least yet, he added that he remains determined to return to WWE.
