Karrion Kross Broke His Biggest Rule To Date Scarlett
Karrion Kross admitted that he broke one of his own rules when it comes to his wife, Scarlett.
It was reported this week that Karrion Kross and his wife Scarlett’s WWE run was over on August 10, which came one week after Karrion’s last WWE match – a loss against Sami Zayn at SummerSlam.
While many people believe the entire situation was a storyline, Kross insisted that it wasn’t a work and that it was a very real situation.
Since departing WWE, Kross has done numerous interviews talking about his current situation. While speaking on the Stories With Brisco And Bradshaw podcast, Kross talked to WWE Hall of Famers Gerald Brisco and John Bradshaw Layfield about how he met Scarlett.
“I met her at a wrestling show and it was one of those types of things where you lock eyes with a woman and you know that something could happen. And I always had a policy.
I absolutely do not want to intermingle with anybody at work… I never really messed around with people at work.”
Karrion Kross Believes “Everything Just Worked” With Scarlett
As he continued, Kross spoke about how he was paired with Scarlett in Mexico, and even though they tried to fight it, they eventually started dating. The couple got married in April 2022.
“We tried to get away from each other. Konnan put us together [in Mexico] and it wasn’t long after that we were dating. The cool part about it was her and I became very good friends before we started dating…everything just worked.”
After signing with WWE in 2020, Kross admitted that Scarlett was hired first, and he was told that he didn’t have to be paired with her, but Kross felt like it would work.
“They asked me: ‘You don’t have to feel like you have to live in the place of where you’ve been. If you want to try something new, you can.’
And I had suggested that we work together because it was working elsewhere. People always wanted the 8x10s of us together versus the singles, I had sort of a radar reading that it would work. And WWE was open to it.”
The duo would go on to create one of the most memorable entrances in NXT and it was also used during some of his WWE main roster run as well.
Regarding his future, Karrion Kross has made it clear that he’d like to return to WWE, but it’s not known if the company wants to bring him or Scarlett back.
