Kamala Considered For WWE Hall Of Fame

Kamala WWE

Kamala could be honoured by WWE.

On April 18, Triple H, Michelle McCool, and Lex Luger will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. It’s also been reported that The Natural Disasters will be inducted, but there’s yet to be an official announcement.

However, it seems there will be at least one more inductee.

According to a new report from Wrestle Votes, Kamala has also been discussed for the Hall of Fame.

According to sources, another name being discussed internally for the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2025 is “The Ugandan Giant” Kamala.

Kamala, who had a successful career throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s, is expected to join Triple H, Lex Luger, and others in this year’s class.

James Harris began his career back in 1978 and he initially wrestled under the name “Sugar Bear” Harris before joining the CWA in 1982. It was here that the Kamala character was developed in partnership with Jerry Lawler and Jerry Jarrett.

Over the next decade and a half, Kamala made stops in Mid-South Wrestling, World Class Championship Wrestling, the AWA, and WCW, as well as enjoying multiple stints with WWE.

Harris sadly passed away on August 9, 2020, following complications from COVID-19 and diabetes. In later life, Harris had both legs amputated due to issues stemming from the disease.

Sting Could Make WWE Return

Meanwhile, it’s been reported elsewhere that WWE is looking to have Sting induct Lex Luger as part of the class of 2025. The two men have been close friends for decades, and Luger has reportedly made it known he’d like to be inducted by The Icon.

Interestingly, the former WCW, WWE, and AEW star had only been expected in Las Vegas during WrestleMania week for a “limited schedule,” but this has been expanded.
