Judgment Day Star Makes History On WWE Raw

Dominik Mysterio has found his way into the WWE history books once again.

The Judgment Day member continued his reign as North American Championship on the September 25th episode of Raw as he defeated NXT star Dragon Lee on the main roster programme. Mysterio’s defence of the title marked the only time that an NXT Championship has been defended twice on the main roster in a singular reign. NXT Championships have been previously defended on the main roster many times, but the holder has never walked out of the ring holding the gold twice on Raw or SmackDown.

Mysterio’s first defence of the North American Championship was back in July when the ex-con defended the title successfully against Sami Zayn on an episode of Raw.

Had “Dirty” Dom lost the championship on Raw then the achievement could have still been obtained one week later. NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch had successfully defended the title once on Raw against Natalya. If Lynch can defeat Tiffany Stratton on September 30th at the No Mercy Premium Live Event, The Man must defend the title on the October 2nd Raw against Tegan Nox.

The Judgment Day Hold All The Gold

Following the conclusion of the September 25th episode of Raw, all members of the faction still remain champion. Finn Balor and Damian Priest successfully defended the Tag Team Championships against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, with Preist also remaining Senor Money in the Bank.

WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley was not at the event due to dealing with a storyline injury as a result of Nia Jax’s surprise return.
