Judgment Day Split Left Rhea Ripley In Tears

Dominik Mysterio Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley has looked back on her time in Judgment Day.

At SummerSlam, both Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest were unceremoniously kicked out of the Judgment Day and the latter lost the World Heavyweight Title in the process.

In the opening match of the night, Dominik Mysterio finally turned his back on Ripley to help Liv Morgan retain her Women’s Championship. Then just hours later, Finn Balor cost Priest his World Championship, enabling Gunther to grab the gold.

Since then the Terror Twins have been on the warpath looking for revenge against the group at every turn.

During an appearance on The Wrestling Classic, Ripley reflected on her time in the group, describing them as family.

“The Judgment Day was really family to me, like it really was,” Ripley said. “It has helped my career so much more than I can actually put into words cause I feel like that was when I started opening up and feeling comfortable going out there in front of the crowd because I had the boys that I could fall back on. So it was really emotional for me.”

At the time of the breakup, it was reported that one member of the group was crying backstage. Ripley confirmed that she was the one in tears, adding she wasn’t ashamed.

“I’m not ashamed of it, that was me, I was upset,” Ripley continued. “I was like, the last two and a half years of my life is going to be… like it’s changed now. I can’t go back to that.

They were my boys, they were my family, and it was really sad but at the same time, when something so good comes to an end, the other side of it is that something amazing is about to start as well. And I wasn’t really thinking about that because I was just so emotional.

Yeah, that was the most fun that I’ve had in my career in a long time. I felt invincible. I felt like I could go out there and just be a cheeky little menace and get away with it, for real, and have fun with my friends.”

Rhea Ripley Looking To Regain Women’s World Title

As the fallout from the Judgment Day betrayal continues, both Ripley and Priest will be out for revenge at Bad Blood.

At the event, Rhea Ripley will challenge Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Title, while Damian Priest will finally get to meet Finn Balor one-on-one. Ripley famously had to give up the championship after suffering a shoulder injury after WrestleMania 40.

With the Australian out of action, Becky Lynch won the title before being beaten by Morgan.
