Josh Barnett Wants WWE Hall Of Famer In Bloodsport

WWE Hall of Fame ring

Josh Barnett wants to do a deal with a WWE Hall of Famer.

On June 22nd, Josh Barnett took Bloodsport to Japan with the Bloodsport Bushido event. The card was topped by a blood-soaked encounter between Barnett and Jon Moxley which was ultimately won by the AEW star.

The event also featured former WWE star Santino Marella, and MMA legends Kazushi Sakuraba and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.

During an interview with Tokyo Sports ahead of the event, Barnett was asked who he’d like to bring to Japan in the future.

“First of all, Katsuyori Shibata. Then Bill Goldberg. I would also like to see Shayna Baszler in Japan, and I would also like to see Oleg Boltin of New Japan Pro-Wrestling,”

The comments came after Goldberg admitted he wants one more match, reiterating that he hasn’t retired. The WWE Hall of Famer hasn’t wrestled since being defeated by Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber in February 2022.

WWE Stars No Stranger To Bloodsport

Ahead of WrestleMania 40, Shayna Baszler headed to Bloodsport to challenge TNA Wrestling star Masha Slamovich.

Although fans might not have realised it at the time, in hindsight the match seemingly hinted at the partnership that’s blossomed between the sports entertainment giant and TNA in recent weeks. The expanded relationship has seen WWE stars appear in TNA, while Jordynne Grace challenged for the NXT Women’s Title.
