Josh Barnett Praises Claudio Castagnoli, Promises They Will Meet In The Ring Again

Claudio Castagnoli

Josh Barnett has had plenty of kind words for Claudio Castagnoli following AEW WrestleDream, however has challenged him to keep raising the bar.

It was only on the go-home edition of AEW Collision before WrestleDream that the match was confirmed which would pit former Ring Of Honor World Champion Claudio Castagnoli against Josh Barnett, someone not adverse to competing in either the squared circle or the octagon.

Castagnoli was able to get the pinfall, however Barnett quickly took the mic after the match to say a lot about both the opportunity and his opponent.

Barnett To Castagnoli: “I’ll Always Be Waiting”

In a new post on social media, Josh Barnett has paid credit once again to his WrestleDream opponent, but vowed that their paths will cross again in the future.

Claudio was all I hoped to find in the ring and even more so; arguably more than even he knows lies still within him. Fights like these are something that will get me grab my boots and travel to any corner of the globe. I live for it.

Thank @AEW for providing such field of battle for us to wage war. It was a pleasure and doubly so to do it in my hometown.

@ClaudioCSRO, we’ll meet again my friend. Keep raising the bar, because I’ll always be waiting.

Onward into countless battles

It was speculated that Jon Moxley was actually meant to be Barnett’s opponent prior to the injury he sustained earlier in the week. However a new report claims that Mox wasn’t set to face either Barnett or Tom Lawlor, the other name speculated.
