Josh Alexander Quits TNA Live On PPV
One TNA star left fans shocked at the Genesis pay-per-view as Josh Alexander sensationally quit the company.
Josh Alexander has previously revealed he asked to leave TNA in early 2024 but the company decided to exercise their option to keep him for an extra year. He will become a free agent when his current deal ends.
His former tag team partner in The North, Ethan Page, is currently part of the NXT roster in WWE although it is widely believed Tony Khan would be interested in bringing the Walking Weapon to AEW. Josh Alexander revealed the exact date his TNA contract ends leaving many to believe that his future will definitely be outside the company.
Josh Alexander Quits Match & TNA
At Genesis, Josh Alexander took on Mike Santana in an I Quit match with both men claiming to be the standard in the company. A violent match took place with Santana utilising the slapjack to bust Alexander’s mouth open. Josh Alexander eventually quit when Santana threatened to deliver a curb stomp onto the steel steps.
After the match, Santana and the crowd demanded Alexander keep his word to shake his opponent’s hand if he lost and he did just that. Josh Alexander then stunned everyone as he noted “I quit tonight, but I quit TNA too” before walking out of the arena.
TNA has advertised that Director of Authority Santino Marella will address Alexander quitting the company on the next episode of Impact.
