Jordynne Grace Makes TNA Slammiversary Apology
After alluding to major surprises ahead of Slammiversary, TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace has been forced into an apology.
Prior to Slammiversary, Jordynne Grace had fans excited about what might be about to unfold in an interview with Sports Illustrated where she said:
The surprises are going to be even bigger than people realize. TNA and NXT do surprises better than any other promotion. I don’t think anyone can argue that. If you’re tired of accidentally reading spoilers, watch Slammiversary. Our goal is to make fans fall back in love with wrestling.
As fans watched and waited for the big surprise they thought Grace had guaranteed, the only surprise was former WWE referee Earl Hebner trying to re-create the Montreal Screwjob 27 years after he screwed Bret Hart in the city.
Jordynne Grace Offers Slammiversary Apology
With fans responding to Grace’s comments in their usual measured and reasonable approach, Jordynne Grace has now offered a somewhat tongue-in-cheek apology on social media and noted the major Crowdstrike shutdown wreaked havoc with the show:
Never said this, but do apologize for the lack of surprise – could have never predicted a global tech outage cancelling thousands of flights. Several wrestlers, including my husband, could not make it. I regret trying to hype the show with that statement, sorry guys!

Slammiversary saw a new TNA World Champion crowned but it was not the one that many expected as Moose’s second reign with the gold came crashing to an end.
It was a bad night for most of TNA’s champions with Jordynne Grace being the only one to retain her title as she defeated Ash By Elegance.
