Jordynne Grace Vs. Mickie James Match Announced With Huge Stipulation
There’s a big match coming for the Impact Wrestling Knockouts Title at Hard To Kill on January 13th as Jordynne Grace defends her title against Mickie James.
For the last few months, former six-time WWE Women’s Champion and four-time TNA/Impact Knockouts Champion Mickie James started a storyline called “The Last Rodeo.” As part of the story, Mickie has said that if she loses a match on her quest to become champion again, she will retire.
On the December 1st edition of Impact Wrestling, Mickie faced off against one of her biggest rivals in the company, Deonna Purrazzo. It was a long match that went back and forth, but Mickie found a way to win while holding on to Purrazzo’s trunks for the sneaky victory.
After the match, the dominant Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace went into the ring to say that James has worked her way back to the top, earning a Knockouts World Title opportunity. Grace challenged James to a title match at Hard To Kill on Friday, January 13th in Atlanta and James accepted, so the title match is on.

The match between Jordynne Grace and Mickie James is unique because Title vs. Career matches are very rare in wrestling, but if James loses this match, she is retiring. If James finds a way to beat Grace, who recently overcame tough challenges to retain her title, then she will have her fifth run as the Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion.
Another match on the Impact Wrestling Hard To Kill card will see the Impact Wrestling World Champion Josh Alexander defend the gold against former World Champion Bully Ray.
