Jon Moxley’s Struggles Continue At AEW Full Gear 2025

Jon Moxley is one of the most popular wrestlers in the world and is arguably the biggest star on AEW’s roster. He is a record four-time World Champion in the company, but is currently in the midst of a losing run.

Ever since he lost the AEW World Championship to Hangman Adam Page, he’s barely won any of his major matches, making him more unhinged with each passing match.

He was challenged to a No Holds Barred match by Kyle O’Reilly at Full Gear after Moxley choked out Orange Cassidy on Dynamite this past week. The match between the two former WWE wrestlers turned out to be exactly what was expected, with both wrestlers taking this to the limit.

Shortly into the match, Moxley brought out his favourite weapon as he started attacking O’Reilly with a fork. He inserted the fork across Kyle’s head and on his body, leaving him with a crimson mask.

Both wrestlers performed brutal attacks on each other, leaving both of them bloodied. In addition to the fork, steel chains, and steel chairs were brought into the equation as well. At one point in the match, Mox grabbed O’Reilly’s hand and wedged it between a chair before stomping on it.

O’Reilly locked in the ankle lock at every chance he got, but it didn’t prove enough this time. He used the same move to tap him out at Blood and Guts, and ultimately, he did the same tonight after wrapping the chain around his ankle before he locked in the submission move again.

After the match ended, it seemed as if Moxley and O’Reilly shared a nod as a show of respect. However, it didn’t last long as the former AEW World Champion returned to hit a cheap shot on the former Paragon member, before walking away.
