Jon Moxley Urged To Step Back From AEW
Jon Moxley might need to recharge.
On the July 30 edition of Dynamite, “Hangman” Adam Page retained the AEW World Championship with another wild victory over Jon Moxley.
A little over three weeks after Page beat Moxley for the gold at All In, the pair went to war one more time in an equally chaotic encounter.
Although security did their best to try and keep interference to a minimum, Marina Shafir still managed to get the World Title belt to Moxley. He quickly smashed Page in the face, but the champion survived.
As the Death Riders were escorted away, Darby Allin launched himself from a balcony onto the group and gathered officials. Back in the ring, Page recovered to land a Dead Eye and Buckshot Lariat to escape with his title reign intact.
Should Jon Moxley Take A Break?
Following the second consecutive singles loss to Page, Bully Ray gave his thoughts on Moxley’s next move during a discussion on Busted Open Radio. Interestingly, the WWE Hall of Famer said it might be time for the former champion to take a breather and go away for a while.
However, he stressed that this had nothing to do with Moxley’s performances, and it would just serve as a way to freshen up his character.
“Moxley, in my opinion, should probably take a breather for a while. Go away, not because I don’t want to see you on my television, but because I think your character could use a break for a little bit. Go recharge the batteries.”
In the lead-up to All In, The Young Bucks claimed that Jon Moxley would never get the credit he deserves for his importance and impact on AEW. Matt and Nick Jackson heaped praise on Moxley for his consistency and all of the work he puts in backstage that goes unnoticed by fans.
