Jon Moxley Takes Shot At CM Punk On AEW Dynamite 300

CM Punk Jon Moxley

Jon Moxley couldn’t help himself as he fired a barely disguised shot at WWE star CM Punk on the 300th edition of AEW Dynamite.

If you thought Seth Rollins’ hatred for CM Punk ran deep, it seems Rollins’ former Shield partner Jon Moxley has no love lost for the former AEW World Champion either.

CM Punk was infamously fired by AEW in 2023 following a backstage incident with Jack Perry at All In London. That came just weeks after Punk returned following a lengthy layoff from the company as a result of his previous backstage fight with The Young Bucks at All Out 2022.

Jon Moxley made no secret of what he thought of CM Punk at that time, and now on the 300th edition of Dynamite, he seemingly couldn’t resist another dig with an apparent shot in Punk’s direction.

Jon Moxley Dismisses “Basic Bitch” Behaviour

Adam Page challenged Moxley to a Texas Death match at All In as he opened up that edition of Dynamite. Moxley initially refused that offer as he took aim at those who call themselves the best in the world:

People call themselves the best wrestler in the world, that’s basic bitch sh*t, I am much more than that. I am much more than the AEW World Champion and I will show the entire world on July 12th at All In.

While many have taken Moxley’s comment as a dig at CM Punk, it could also have been aimed at another man who has been called the best in the world: his former partner, Bryan Danielson. Danielson recently made a shock return to AEW for the first time since he lost the AEW World Title to Moxley back in late 2024.
