Jon Moxley Faces Reluctant Challenge At AEW Full Gear
Jon Moxley’s reign of terror will come under serious threat as the first challenger for his AEW World Championship at Full Gear has been confirmed.
Jon Moxley won the AEW World Title at WrestleDream, ending the full-time career of Bryan Danielson in heartbreaking fashion in the process.
Moxley and his Blackpool Combat Club colleagues have taken the fight to AEW ever since, as they seek to reimagine the company in their own violent image. So far they have met serious resistance from the likes of Darby Allin, Private Party, Top Flight, and Daniel Garcia but now a hesitant leader has emerged in Orange Cassidy.
Orange Cassidy Faces Jon Moxley At AEW Full Gear
Orange Cassidy recently noted he never wanted to be AEW World Champion but his hands have been tied by Moxley’s recent actions and now he’s stepped up as a locker room leader and challenged Moxley to a match for the AEW World Championship on Fright Night Dynamite.

That challenge was later accepted with the match made official for Full Gear on November 23rd. Jon Moxley and the BCC lured Cassidy to the ring during the show by pretending to turn on Wheeler Yuta. However, Yuta happily took part in the beating handed out to Orange Cassidy before the likes of the Dark Order and Darby Allin intervened.
