Jon Moxley Going No Holds Barred At AEW Full Gear

Jon Moxley

Jon Moxley is looking to put a tough few months behind him when he goes no holds barred at AEW Full Gear.

Jon Moxley spent the first half of 2025 as the dominant AEW World Champion with the Death Riders propping their leader up at every opportunity as he held the title hostage.

That all changed when Hangman Adam Page captured the title at All In Texas, and so began the spiral of Jon Moxley. Although Moxley picked up a win over Darby Allin in a coffin match at All Out, Allin made Moxley say “I quit” at WrestleDream.

Moxley then moved on to issues with The Conglomeration, leading to two matches with Kyle O’Reilly that Moxley could not win. This escalated into Blood & Guts with Jon Moxley tapping out once again when trapped in O’Reilly’s ankle lock.

Jon Moxley Heading To AEW Full Gear

On the November 19th edition of Dynamite, Claudio Castagnoli helped Jon Moxley get back to winning ways as they defeated Roderick Strong and Orange Cassidy. After that match, the Death Riders continued the assault until Kyle O’Reilly made the save, locking Moxley in the ankle lock once again.

O’Reilly then challenged Moxley to meet him at Full Gear in a no holds barred match, and that bout was soon made official.

Moxley has a 3-2 record at Full Gear. At 2024’s edition of the show, he successfully defended the AEW World Championship against Orange Cassidy.
