Jon Moxley Has Been Avoiding AEW Star

Jon Moxley cuts promo on AEW Collision

Jon Moxley has a target on his back.

Since getting the band back together in the final months of 2024, MVP, Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley have become a dominant force in AEW.

With MVP pulling the strings, Lashley and Benjamin have become the World Tag Team Champions, with the former remaining undefeated since making his debut. So, naturally, fans have begun to wonder when Lashley might find his way into AEW World Championship contention.

In a new interview with the Sporting Tribune, Lashley was asked about a potential match with current champion Jon Moxley, and it seems he’s feeling confident. After claiming the World Champion is avoiding him, he said a match between them is just a matter of time.

“I think he stays clear away from me. Whenever I see him in the locker room, he’ll go clear in the other direction. He knows what’s going on. He knows it is only a matter of time. Right now, we’re focused on what we’re doing and being tag team champions. That’s what we’re focused on. Once we get rid of these titles, we’ll look at the next step,”

Lashley and Benjamin are scheduled to make their first defence of the World Tag Team Titles against The Gunns on the February 12 edition of Dynamite.

Jon Moxley Heading For Brisbane Brawl

Before he gets to a match with Bobby Lashley, Jon Moxley continues to lead the Death Riders in their takeover of AEW.

In recent weeks that’s seen the faction clash with FTR, Cope, Jay White, and just about everyone else on the roster. After another wild brawl between the group, FTR, White, and Cope, Switchblade challenged Moxley and Castagnoli to a Brisbane Brawl at Grand Slam Australia.

The challenge came after Jon Moxley turned down a World Title match with Cope at Revolution.
