Jon Moxley Urged Ex-Champion To Call Triple H & Join WWE
Despite leaving WWE, Jon Moxley encouraged a fellow wrestler to sign with the company.
Jon Moxley is the current AEW World Champion and is thoroughly enjoying his time with the company. He had parted ways with WWE back in 2019, but had urged former champion Karrion Kross to sign with the promotion.
Jon Moxley was a part of the WWE roster from 2011 to 2019. During his tenure, he was a Grand Slam Champion and feuded with top names such as Triple H, AJ Styles and more. He faced Karrion Kross during an indie show and suggested he would be a great fit in WWE. Karrion Kross recalled the story while he was on the Ariel Helwani Show.
“He was like you can wrestle wherever and go wherever you like. But I [Moxley] really think you would be a good fit for WWE but do whatever you want, go wherever you want. He encouraged me to call Hunter, and I did.”
Jon Moxley Will Be In Action At AEW Double Or Nothing This Weekend
This weekend’s AEW Double Or Nothing marks the seventh edition of the event. The show will see the top stars of the promotion in action and is guaranteed to excite fans across the globe. Even though Jon Moxley will not be defending his AEW World Title, he will be in tag team action.
This weekend will see Jon Moxley step into chaos as the leader of the Death Riders, joining forces with The Young Bucks in the Anarchy In The Arena match. The 12-person match was born out of mounting hostilities after Moxley’s recent loss in a Trios match on Dynamite.
The AEW World Champion’s team will be taking on Kenny Omega, Swerve Strickland, Willow Nightingale, and The Opps. Moxley’s presence guarantees blood, brawls, and no boundaries in what could be AEW’s wildest war yet.
