Jon Moxley Doesn’t Get Enough Credit For Contribution To AEW

Jon Moxley

Jon Moxley is AEW’s locker room leader.

Ever since Jon Moxley jumped into an AEW ring unannounced at Double or Nothing 2019, he has been at the forefront of the company. No one has been more vocal about or more dedicated to the AEW cause than Jon Moxley.

He’s the man Tony Khan has repeatedly turned to in times of crisis, and he stands as the first four-time World Champion in company history.

As he prepares to defend that World Championship against “Hangman” Adam Page in what’s sure to be a violent Texas Death Match, The Young Bucks have paid tribute to AEW’s North Star.

Jon Moxley Has Become AEW’s Shining Light

While speaking to Yahoo Sports, Matt and Nick Jackson gave their thoughts on Moxley’s importance to AEW, especially behind the scenes.

Matt praised Moxley for his consistency and role as locker room leader, suggesting he doesn’t get enough credit for the work he’s put in.

“Jon was one of the first people who came over and it was truly shocking at the time. He’s been a locker room leader the entire time, and has worked so hard from the beginning. You talk about consistency, and drive, you’re talking about Jon.

Even times when we weren’t able to be around, Jon was always there to help guide the crew. I don’t think he gets enough credit for what he’s done to make AEW thrive.”

Nick Jackson added that Moxley is, and has always been, AEW’s MVP.

“Moxley is the MVP and he’s always been the playmaker when we’re down a few points. You can always rely on him to get us a bucket.”

Meanwhile, MJF has promised to win the Casino Gauntlet Match and cash in his World Title contract on Moxley if he manages to beat Adam Page. The Salt of the Earth famously beat Moxley for the gold at Full Gear 2022.
