Johnny Gargano Vows To “Close The Book” On NXT Career

Johnny Gargano cuts a promo

Johnny Gargano has made his feelings known about the attack just before he left NXT back in 2021.

Johnny Gargano was one of the surprise names included in the rafts of WWE releases. However, it wasn’t long in to the regime of Triple H when he made his return to the company, appearing on Monday Night RAW.

However, it was the black and gold brand where Johnny Wrestling made his name under the WWE banner, and he return to NXT on the 7th March 2023 edition of the show, being introduced as Shawn Michaels’ hand-picked opponent for Grayson Waller at Stand & Deliver.

This was a full-circle moment for Gargano, who was attacked by Waller when saying his goodbye to NXT following WarGames in December 2021, and never had the opportunity to exact his revenge.

Now, in a post on social media, Johnny Gargano has expressed how much the opportunity to gain revenge on Grayson Waller means to him.

Because of you.. my story in @WWENXT
ended on a cliffhanger 15 months ago. You took my moment from me and I never forgot that. I waited patiently for the right time & place.. April 1st.. Wrestlemania Weekend.. I shut you up & close the book my way. #JohnnyTakeOver #OneMoreTime

Stand & Deliver takes place as part of the WrestleMania 39 weekender in April, and it has also been confirmed that Bron Breakker will defend the NXT Championship against Carmelo Hayes at the event.
