John Laurinaitis Turns On Vince McMahon As Lawsuit Dropped

WWE Vince McMahon berating John Laurinaitis

The latest twist in the ongoing lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE has seen John Laurinaitis agree to co-operate with the other side.

Former WWE employee Janel Grant launched a lawsuit in early 2024 against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis and WWE. In it, Grant detailed alleged sexual abuse suffered at the hands of McMahon. She also accused of McMahon setting up a sexual affair between her and then Head of Talent Relations, Lauriniaitis in addition to claims that McMahon tried to use her as a pawn in contract negotiations with Brock Lesnar.

And now John Laurinaitis has switched sides and agreed to co-operate with Grant, turning on McMahon in the process.

John Laurinaitis To Give Evidence Against Vince McMahon

A statement released on behalf of Grant and Laurinaitis, courtesy of POST Wrestling, notes that Laurinaitis will also provide evidence against his former boss:

John Laurinaitis has agreed to cooperate and provide evidence in Janel Grant’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE. His agreement to a confidential settlement is a pivotal next step toward holding McMahon and WWE accountable and bringing justice to Ms. Grant after years of sexual abuse and trafficking. Mr. Laurinaitis looks forward to moving on with his life. We cannot provide any additional details at this time.

This came after a court filing officially removed Laurinaitis as a defendant in the case. The claims against Laurinaitis were dropped “with prejudice” meaning she has agreed to not revisit them in the future.
