John Laurinaitis has emerged as one of the most controversial figures in WWE of late.
Laurinaitis has previously served as the company’s Head of Talent Relations. In 2024, her was named in Janel Grant’s lawsuit, which accused Vince McMahon of sexual assault and trafficking.
Following the allegations, he became the first person involved to acknowledge the lawsuit.

Speaking on the Road Trip After Hours podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long said that the 63-year-old will have to live with the consequences.
That’s our that’s what you call a coward. Yeah. I mean, okay, if you was in, if you was in there with the man, and if it’s true, you know what I mean, just tell the truth or whatever and be done with it. That by him copping out and stooge it, or whatever you want to call it, that ain’t gonna that… he may get off, may have, may get free, or may not get convicted… but he’s got to live with that for the rest of his life.
TNA Legend Accuses John Laurinaitis Of Bias
Velvet Sky gave over two decades of her life to the wrestling business but only competed in a single WWE match.
She joined Total Nonstop Action in 2007, where she became a 2-time Women’s Knockout Champion and a Tag Team Champion once.
Sky was also a member of The Beautiful People, often regarded as one of the most influential stables in wrestling. Sky, along with Angelina Love, was inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame in 2025.
The 44-year-old recently took to X after a user shared a video of her only WWE match, where she competed under the name Talia against Victoria.
The user expressed surprise and disappointment at her not being signed in the Stamford-based promotion. Replying to the user, Sky revealed the reason for it, blaming John Laurinaitis, claiming that he did not hire her because she was in a relationship at the time.
The reason I didn’t get signed, per right from Johnny Ace’s mouth at our meeting at headquarters when I was told prior to the meeting that I was gonna be signed, was because I was in a long term relationship with one of the talent who worked there at the time, and I was told by Ace that he “didn’t want HIS divas dating within the company.”
I chose loyalty to my long term man at the time and got passed up because I wasn’t single. 🥴
Oh well. I had a helluva career at TNA and wouldn’t have changed it for anything. ✌🏼
