John Laurinaitis Responds To Janel Grant WWE Lawsuit
John Laurinaitis has legally acknowledged Janel Grant’s lawsuit.
As reported by PWInsider, John Laurinaitis filed a waiver with the US District Court of Connecticut, which effectively serves as his legal response to the lawsuit brought by Janel Grant.
The filing shows that Laurinaitis is aware of the suit and will not need to be served. The former WWE Head of Talent Relations will respond to the suit within the next 60 days, starting on March 15th.
Due to the filing, Laurinaitis is the first person involved to legally acknowledge Grant’s lawsuit.
On January 25th, former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against WWE, Vince McMahon, and John Laurinaitis. The suit contains allegations of sex trafficking, and claims Grant was sexually assaulted by McMahon and Laurinaitis.
Vince McMahon has since resigned from the TKO Group board, but denies any wrongdoing.
John Laurinaitis Claims He’s A Victim Of Vince McMahon
Back in February via an attorney, Laurinaitis denied the allegations and said he would be vigorously defending himself against the claims in court.
Attorney Edward Brennan added that John Laurinaitis was also a victim of Vince McMahon, commenting that the former WWE Executive Chairman exerted control over both Grant and his client.
