A WWE Hall of Famer has arrived at Capital One Arena for John Cena’s retirement match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

On June 27, 2002, the Leader of the Cenation made his main roster debut. The 48-year-old confronted Kurt Angle and accepted his challenge to a match.

Although Cena put on an impressive performance, he came up short against the WWE Hall of Famer. Nevertheless, The Never Seen 17 went on to have a legendary career in the Stamford-based company.

Kurt Angle Is Attending John Cena’s Final Match

In 2019, Kurt Angle retired from in-ring competition after losing to Baron Corbin. The former World Heavyweight Champion later revealed that he wanted to end his career in a match against John Cena. However, it did not work out.

The Leader of the Cenation will now retire from in-ring action as well. Earlier this year, Cena embarked on his retirement tour. It will end tonight when he goes one-on-one against Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Ahead of the highly anticipated show, WWE’s Instagram account dropped a video of the Olympic Gold Medalist arriving at Capital One Arena for Cena’s final match.
