John Cena’s Bids Farewell To WWE With 11-Word Statement
As hard as it sounds, John Cena has officially called time on his WWE career tonight, following a brutal match with Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
After announcing his retirement tour at last year’s Money in the Bank event, Cena stuck to his words and officially hung up his boots tonight, as he left his sneakers and armband in the ring, signalling the end of his in-ring career.
Following a brutal match with the Ring General, John Cena bowed to the fans in the Capitol One Arena, before making his way out of the ring and heading backstage.

The 17-time World Champion stopped before he headed backstage and saluted the fans one last time time before heading in. He delivered a final 11-word message to all the fans worldwide.
“It’s been a pleasure serving you all these years. Thank you,” Cena said.

He thanked the fans in his final message as he called time on his 23-year WWE career that saw him become the most decorated World Champion in the company’s history.
