John Cena Blasted By WWE Star For Wanting To Ruin Wrestling
John Cena’s desire to “ruin wrestling” has been slammed by one of the biggest wrestlers in WWE.
Ever since he won the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41, John Cena has trashed the WWE fans by saying that he wants to ruin wrestling.
According to Cena, he won’t be losing the WWE Championship, and he’s going to retire as the WWE Champion. Cena plans to take the WWE Championship with him, so that he will retire as the “Last Real Champion” of WWE when he competes in his final match later this year. The phrase “Last Real Champion” is something Cena has used to describe his title reign.
While speaking to PFSN, the largest WWE superstar of them all, Omos, spoke out against John Cena’s plan to retire as the WWE Champion.
“I mean, with ticket sales in Saudi that might ruin pro-wrestling, that was very diabolical of him to say. He can ruin wrestling all he wants, but the future generations behind him are just gonna make it better. So he can try.”
Omos is not active on WWE television right now, but the giant former basketball player recently signed a new deal to remain with WWE and will look to be a force in the ring for many years to come.
John Cena Knows Why It’s The Right Time To Retire From WWE
A significant reason why John Cena plans to retire as a wrestler at the end of 2025 is that, physically, he can’t do the same things at 48 years old as he could when he was younger.
“So I’ve had a whole lot of time to think about this. I kind of weaned off the full-time schedule in 2017, it’s 2025, so we’re talking over a half-decade to contemplate like ‘oh man, this is kind of where it’s at.’
I also made a cemented promise even in my 20s to the audience, when I am a step slow, I’m out of the door, understand when your run is over and bow out gracefully. I feel like I’m a step slow, I’m there.
If you look at the performers today, it’s extremely physically demanding and I don’t ever want somebody to buy a ticket and feel robbed.”
The next time John Cena defends the WWE Title will be at Night of Champions on June 28th when he faces CM Punk for perhaps the final time. Cena will also face R-Truth on the June 20th edition of SmackDown, but that won’t be a title match.
