John Cena Announces Date He’ll Finally Tell All About WWE Retirement Tour

John Cena WWE Intercontinental Champion

John Cena first announced his retirement from in-ring competition during a surprise appearance at the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event in Toronto on July 7, 2024.

He began his farewell tour at the beginning of this year.

The tour is set to culminate with his last match on December 13, 2025, at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, DC.

His last opponent will be decided through the “Last Time is Now” Tournament.

John Cena Promises To Reflect On His Retirement Tour

John Cena’s farewell tour has stirred a lot of emotions among the fans. Some are happy to see The Last Real Champion enjoy his limited number of days in WWE, while others are sad to see him go. Some are disappointed that the farewell tour didn’t cover many of his iconic rivals from his past days.

Speaking on a recent Q&A panel at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, UK, John Cena admitted he hasn’t fully considered the various perspectives the WWE Universe has shared about his retirement tour.

He emphasized that he’s living through the moments as they come rather than overanalyzing them in real time. But he promised to pause and reflect on his retirement tour after it ends, i.e., on December 14.

I wanted to put out this one year as a body of work and not reflect on it until it’s over.

Because I think people, we experience these moments, and we may have an emotion in the moment, and then after the moment we may have a different critique of what’s going on, and then two months later we may have a different opinion, and then two months later we may have a different opinion.

And I have heard a whole lot of different opinions from you guys, and I really appreciate that because most of all, you’re vocal, and when I hear your noise, that means we’re doing something that has your attention.

So, I’ll reflect on the entrance and all other things retirement tour on December 14th and beyond if that’s okay with you. I just want to throw the whole thing out there as one big package. (From 2:24 to 3:07)
