John Cena Scolded Ex-WWE Star For Not Defying Vince McMahon
Ex-WWE star David Otunga had some pretty terrible experiences working with John Cena.
Otunga recently released a YouTube episode entirely dedicated to Cena, where he talked about his experience working with The Never Seen 17 in WWE. He revealed an incident where Cena scolded him backstage for not defying Vince McMahon’s orders.
John Cena called David Otunga “Weak” For Not Going Against Vince McMahon
In 2010, McMahon booked tag team partners David Otunga and John Cena to relinquish their WWE Tag Team Titles to Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel. Otunga was the one who got pinned in the bout.
Following the match, Cena criticized Otunga for not standing up against Vince McMahon and giving up the titles without any fight.
Cena is pissed. Here he comes, rushing over to me. He’s going off. This isn’t as bad as Paris, but he’s going off. And he’s telling me how much I suck.
Number one, how much he didn’t like my acting in the segment, but more importantly, he’s telling me that I’m nothing and I’m weak because I went through with the segment.
And he’s like, I wouldn’t have done it. I wouldn’t have laid down, but you did. I’m like, John, that’s in the script. What are you talking about? I wouldn’t have laid
down. I wouldn’t have relinquished the titles.I’m like, wait a minute. What do you mean, ‘you’ the character or you the actor? And he’s telling me like me, like the actor, like I shouldn’t have laid down, John. It’s in the storyline. (From 39:47)
In the same video, David Otunga also shared that John Cena once humiliated him backstage and abused him verbally and emotionally.
