John Cena will never share the ring with a major WWE Superstar again, according to Chief Content Officer Triple H.

The Franchise Player put his Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against CM Punk tonight at Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The match saw Mr. Money in the Bank, Seth Rollins, and his associates, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, interfere in a cash-in attempt. However, The Visionary was stopped by Cena and Punk.

Meanwhile, Sami Zayn and Penta also got involved in the chaotic finish as they brawled with Breakker. The match, however, ended with Cena winning after taking advantage of a Stomp delivered to Punk by Rollins.

Triple H discussed the Night of Champions main event on the post-show panel. In his comments, the Chief Content Officer confirmed Cena and Punk would never go head-to-head again.

It was incredible. You know, you are talking about two superstars in John Cena and CM Punk that sort of defined an era. And not only that defining an era, but sort of in a way defined each other.

You know, if you talk about CM Punk and his career, you automatically talk about John Cena. If you talk about John Cena’s career, you talk about CM Punk. It’s just two generational stars coming together one last time.

I think as much as it meant to fans here and around the world, I think that’s what it meant to John Cena, to CM Punk. I’m glad we were able to put that fight together to deliver here in Saudi. I’m glad they got to do it before John called it a day.
