John Cena Vs. WWE Hall Of Famer Teased On Crown Jewel Post-Show

John Cena WWE Farewell

John Cena’s Survivor Series opponent was teased on the WWE Crown Jewel post-show.

Last January, the Leader of the Cenation returned to the Stamford-based company for one final run before hanging up his boots in December.

During his retirement tour, The Never Seen 17 turned heel for a few weeks before reverting to his babyface persona. Meanwhile, he shared the ring with several top WWE Superstars and legends, including CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, and Cody Rhodes.

Tonight at Crown Jewel, the 48-year-old went head-to-head with another former rival of his, AJ Styles. Despite The Phenomenal One’s unbelievable performance, Cena came out on top.

Rey Mysterio Could Be John Cena’s Next WWE Opponent

During his match against AJ Styles at Crown Jewel, John Cena almost hit a 619 in homage to Rey Mysterio before The Phenomenal One stopped him with a clothesline.

The Never Seen 17 and the WWE Hall of Famer were involved in a memorable moment in WWE history in 2011 when Mysterio won the WWE Championship on RAW before losing it that same night to Cena.

While addressing Cena’s homage to Mysterio on the Crown Jewel post-show, Big E and Peter Rosenberg teased The Master of the 619 being the Leader of the Cenation’s Survivor Series opponent in the WWE Hall of Famer’s hometown, San Diego.

Rosenberg: What if John is practicing the 619 before he gets to San Diego.

Big E: I’d love to see it. Oh, what a spot to hit it. That would be the place to hit it.

Rosenberg: Is that a tease?

Big E: It might be.
