John Cena Might Be Taking Control Of The Farewell Tour From WWE
John Cena could be doing something that he has been constantly claiming he doesn’t do, i.e., picking his own opponents.
When The Champ was asked about why he gave Logan Paul the chance at Clash in Paris, John Cena revealed that he does not handpick his opponents. Instead, he puts out open challenges, and whoever answers, he battles them.
Keeping aligned with that narrative, The Last Real Champion had also revealed that he is not going to pick his final match and opponent either. However, that seems to be changing.
John Cena has picked AJ Styles for Crown Jewel 2025
Previously, a match between Cena and Styles was dismissed. In fact, Cena paid homage to The Phenomenal One by hitting Logan Paul with a Styles Clash in Clash in Paris. It seems that was WWE’s choice.
Ahead of the latest episode of WWE RAW, John Cena took to social media to ask fans about their thoughts on a John Cena vs. AJ Styles match. While the fans reacted positively to the idea, the global juggernaut did not really talk about it on Monday Night RAW.
However, the company finally announced Cena vs. Styles for Crown Jewel, making one wonder why The Champ handpicked an opponent.
.@JohnCena vs. @AJStylesOrg is a match we all want to see. And at #WWECrownJewel…we will.

He may be taking back creative control over his Farewell Tour, like he had done when he worked the segment against CM Punk to mock the 2014 Pipebomb.
If that is what is happening here, The Leader of Cenation might even be the one to decide who his final opponent and match will be!
