John Cena Takes Hilarious Shot At R-Truth Ahead Of WWE Clash
John Cena recently assessed his standing as R-Truth’s “childhood hero”.
While appearing at a fan expo in the Pennsylvania Convention Center, a fan asked the Undisputed WWE Champion about his attack on R-Truth during the WWE Backlash press conference, referring to him as the latter’s “childhood hero”.
To this, the champ retorted:
“How in the space-time continuum can I be R-Truth’s childhood hero, when he’s 150 years old? It doesn’t make any sense!
Cena’s reaction to the fan’s question sparked laughter among the audience, easing the tension that had been building.

Emotions High With John Cena/R-Truth Clash At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event
John Cena and R-Truth have had cordial relationships in the past, coming to each other’s aid on more than one occasion. Truth even saved Cena from being punted in the head by Randy Orton at Backlash. Their clash at Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 24 is expected to be an emotional matchup, for R-Truth at least. While the match will not be contested for the title, Cena is determined to overcome all hurdles till his December 2025 retirement.
In a recent SmackDown interview with Wade Barrett, Truth affirmed his resolve to bring Cena back to his senses while stating that he is not happy about fighting his hero. As the discussion came to its conclusion, Truth said he would continue to live by the words ‘Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect’.
