John Cena Symbolically Leaves Gear Behind In WWE Ring At SNME
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event ended on an emotional note, as it was expected to, as John Cena ended his legendary wrestling career after a brutal match with The Ring General, Gunther.
After winning the Last Time is Now tournament, Gunther faced Cena in a hard-hitting match and emerged victorious despite The Champ’s numerous resilient attempts to go out on a high.
Following the match, Cena was greeted by a horde of other wrestlers, led by Triple H and he broke down while watching an emotional video about his 23-year WWE career.

Once the video ended, Cena bowed to the fans and wrestlers that were present at ringside and did his customary salute before taking off his iconic sneakers and armband, and left them behind in the ring, signalling the end of his professional wrestling career.

He walked past the crowd and stopped at the ramp once again before hitting one final salute to the crowd and heading off into the sunset.
