John Cena Surprisingly Shares Photo Of Top AEW Star After WWE SmackDown
John Cena has been challenged by Brock Lesnar for Wrestlepalooza.
The Beast was finally seen on the latest episode of WWE SmackDown after his return at SummerSlam 2025.
He repeated his SummerSlam actions, and F-5’d John Cena before issuing the Wrestlepalooza challenge.
John Cena paid a tribute during his last WWE SmackDown match
During SmackDown, The Champ fought Sami Zayn.
The United States Champion thanked The Champ for all he has done, and issued a challenge to him for the championship.
It was a full circle moment for Zayn since he made his main roster debut against an open challenge for the United States Championship against John Cena over a decade ago.
During the match, Cena executed a Spear on Zayn. Following that, he posted a photo of Adam Copeland (fka Edge) on his social media. It was a way of The Champ paying a tribute to Edge by using his signature move during his last SmackDown match.

John Cena has already revealed that he won’t be able to have a story or match against everyone who made an impact on his WWE career. However, he is paying homage to them by using their signature moves in his matches.
It’s possible that Cena posted Edge’s photo on his social media so fans know who the tribute was for since Spear is used by more than one superstar in WWE as a finisher move.
