John Cena Surprises Stephanie McMahon With Shocking Confession

John Cena

John Cena is entering the final year of his incredible wrestling career, with plans to retire from full-time wrestling by December 2025.

His legendary career has set a high bar in WWE history. As the 17-time world champion, a record-tying feat, Cena has carried WWE on his shoulders for years and served as the company’s face.

Recently, Cena appeared as a guest on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story podcast, where he made a surprising revelation about his perspective on wrestling and his own identity.

During the candid conversation with Stephanie McMahon, Cena confessed that when he was younger, he believed he was born to be a WWE superstar. However, with age and experience, his understanding of his true purpose has changed dramatically. While wrestling has been a defining part of his identity and career, he now sees himself in a different light, hinting at a deeper personal evolution outside the ring.

Cena shared, “If you ask me what I was born to do, my response in 2006 would be, ‘I am a WWE superstar. It is what I was born for.’ [If you ask me the same question] at 48. That’s not why I was born.”

Brock Lesnar Attacks John Cena at SummerSlam

John Cena put the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against Cody Rhodes at the main event of SummerSlam night two on Sunday. The American Nightmare defeated him to become the new champion.

Rhodes left him to bask in his glory as fans chanted ‘Thank you, Cena’ after the match. However, in a shocking twist, the crowd at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey saw the return of Brock Lesnar. The Beast Incarnate didn’t waste time making a statement and delivered an F5 on Cena.
