John Cena May Have Spoiled Ron Killings’ WWE Future

John Cena

John Cena opened the latest WWE Raw episode in Phoenix.

He was visibly upset about R-Truth’s interference during his tag team match with Logan Paul against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso.

At the Money in the Bank PLE, Truth made his shocking return during the closing minutes of the show and attacked Cena with his championship belt.

Rhodes then hit him with the Cross Rhodes and pinned him to win the match for his team.

The audience at the PHX Arena appeared excited, chanting for Truth as soon as John Cena began speaking.

As he cut his promo, Cena called Truth a ‘lie,’ further labeling him ‘a sideshow comedian whose greatest achievement is pretending to be me.’

He dissed the crowd for another minute before saying:

R-Truth is a gimmick that you will spit out in a year from now, you will not care anything about.

WWE Veteran Feels John Cena’s Comments May Have Been A Shoot

Since returning to WWE, R-Truth has undergone a character transition, now called Ron Killings, which is also his real name.

Killings, too, appeared on Raw this week and chopped off his hair on live TV, taking everyone by surprise.

While many fans and industry veterans have speculated that Killings’ darker character arc is significant, a former WWE writer believes John Cena may have ended his future.

Vince Russo, while appearing on his podcast, discussed Cena’s comments about the 53-year-old.

Bro, John Cena says, ‘R-Truth is a gimmick…you won’t care about him in a year.’

Bro, that’s a shoot, like, what Cena is saying is you chanted the Truth, they (WWE) brought back the Truth, and in a couple of months (there) is gonna be a new flavor of the month. That’s a shoot, so it’s like what are we doing here? That’s what I’m confused about because what Cena said is what’s exactly gonna happen. They’re going to be on to the next guy. So, I just don’t understand why would you point that out when that is the absolute truth?!! [From 12:41]

Meanwhile, CM Punk was also revealed as Cena’s next opponent for the Undisputed Championship at Night of Champions in Riyadh.
