John Cena Given Serious Warning Before Brock Lesnar WWE Clash

John Cena is set to go on a very dangerous mission, i.e., stepping inside the ring with The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar, who is notorious for mutilating his opponents and reveling in their pain and suffering.

The two legends will collide at WWE’s inaugural Wrestlepalooza event, which will be held on September 20 in Indianapolis. Cena and Lesnar have a long-standing rivalry that goes way back to 2003. They will step inside the ring against each other for the one last time at the upcoming WWE PLE.

Before their clash, WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio gave a major warning to The Never Seen 17 regarding Lesnar. Mysterio, who himself has experienced the wrath of The Beast, asked John Cena to be careful because the only thing Lesnar does when he’s inside the ring is hurt his opponents.

Speaking with Sam Roberts and Megan Morant on the September 8, 2025 edition of RAW Recap this week, Mysterio detailed his experience from the time when he faced Lesnar and described the utter fear in his eyes when he saw the mammoth of a man standing across him.

Brock [Lesnar] is a different beast, though. Godd**n. Brock is–he doesn’t care if you’re on your way out or if you came in or if you’re John Cena or whoever it is that you are. Brock is from another planet! I honestly did not realize I was scared of Brock until I stepped in the ring with him for the first time.

RVD Wants The Rock To Face John Cena in His Retirement Match

John Cena will wrestle his retirement match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December in Washington, DC. WWE has yet to announce who will be his final opponent, and WWE legend Rob Van Dam wants it to be one of Cena’s iconic rivals, The Rock. In this exclusive interview with TMZ’s Inside The Ring, WWE Hall of Famer said:

The Rock. The Rock, The Rock, The Rock. That’s definitely as big as you can go, bro. Where are you going to go from there?
