John Cena Reacts To Season Premiere Of WWE SmackDown
John Cena has commented on what it felt like to be part of the “Season Premiere” episode of WWE Smackdown.
Last night’s edition of WWE Smackdown was the Season Premiere episode that took place in front of a hot crowd in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Some big names were advertised for the show, so there was a lot of anticipation for it.
It started off with John Cena receiving a huge ovation from the crowd. Before Cena could really get going, he was interrupted by the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, who made his return to the blue brand after about two months away.
Reigns took offense to Cena opening “his” show while reminding Cena that Reigns had beaten him in the past (SummerSlam 2021). Cena made it clear that he wasn’t there to challenge Roman Reigns, but Cena knew somebody else who was interested: LA Knight.
Later in the show, LA Knight faced Solo Sikoa. Jimmy Uso got into the ring to try to distract Knight, but that’s when John Cena showed up to help his friend LA Knight and Cena dropped Jimmy with an Attitude Adjustment to take him. Solo hit Cena with a Samoan Spike to the throat, but Knight was able to capitalize on the chaos with a BFT on Solo to win the match.
On X/Twitter, Cena commented on the excitement of the show.
“A season premiere @WWE#Smackdown that kept us all on the edge of our seats! New faces, the return of the Tribal Chief, and YEAH! A crowd that brought the energy!!”
“See you next week in San Antonio!”

John Cena & LA Knight picked up a huge win at Fastlane
One week ago at WWE Fastlane, John Cena teamed up with LA Knight to beat The Bloodline’s Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa.
That victory was Cena’s first win at WWE Premium Live Event in about five years. Cena’s last win was at Super Show-Down in Australia in October 2018 when Cena and Bobby Lashley beat Kevin Owens & Elias. Cena’s last singles win on a PLE was at the Greatest Royal Rumble in April 2018 when he beat Triple H.
It is expected that Cena will be a part of the WWE Crown Jewel PLE in Saudi Arabia on November 4th. It’s possible he could be in a singles match against Jimmy Uso or Solo Sikoa, unless there is some other plan for him. For now, no matches have been announced for the show.
