John Cena Receives Retirement Gift At WWE Night Of Champions
John Cena was given a special gift over the weekend of Night of Champions because it was his final WWE match in Saudi Arabia.
The year 2025 is half over, which means John Cena’s retirement tour is also halfway finished. The 17-time WWE Champion Cena has made it clear that he is retiring at the end of this year, and he has no plans to change his mind.
At WWE Night of Champions, John Cena retained the WWE Championship against CM Punk in a controversial manner. Every WWE Title match that Cena has had this year has been controversial because he usually uses a low blow and belt shots to put away opponents.
In the Night of Champions match, Cena got the win thanks to others getting involved like Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Sami Zayn, and Penta. All of them got involved after referee Dan Engler was knocked down. Rollins looked like he might cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase during the match, but Cena stopped i,t and the fans loved him for it.
During the match’s final moments, Punk extended a hand to Cena, and Cena shook his hand. They also hugged, while Cena had a heel look on his face, and he went for the low blow. Punk was ready with a GTS attempt, but Rollins was there to hit Punk with the briefcase in the head. Rollins hit The Stomp on Punk, Cena tossed Rollins out of the ring, the original referee, Dan Engler, was back in there, and Cena covered Punk for the pinfall win.
Cena also ran over referee Charles Robinson with a shoulder tackle during the match, which may have been the most memorable moment of them all.
After the match, John Cena celebrated with the WWE Championship while announcer Michael Cole shouted about how Seth Rollins screwed CM Punk out of the WWE Title.
