John Cena Reaffirms Love For Vince McMahon

WWE legend John Cena

John Cena has spoken out in support of Vince McMahon.

Vince McMahon left WWE in early 2024 after former employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit, which included allegations of sex trafficking and sexual abuse. The suit was filed against McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis, although Brock Lesnar has since been implicated.

The filing contains a litany of sickening allegations, including claims that McMahon offered sexual encounters with Grant to Lesnar as part of contract negotiations.

Meanwhile, in October, it was announced that a new lawsuit had been filed against Vince McMahon, Linda McMahon, WWE, and TKO. The suit alleges that those named were complicit in the sexual exploitation of children by former ring announcer and ring crew chief Melvin Phillips Jr.

Just a month after Janel Grant’s lawsuit was filed, John Cena came out in support of Vince McMahon, saying he loved the former WWE Chairman and he was going to stand by him as a friend. The interview was met with incredible backlash online, with Cena appearing unmoved.

John Cena Loves Vince McMahon

Despite the criticism he received for those earlier comments and the further allegations against McMahon that have surfaced, Cena has once again publicly thrown his support behind his former boss.

In a new interview with the New York Times, Cena said he loves McMahon wholeheartedly and doesn’t care if people are angry about it.

“I don’t care who hears it: I love Vince. I’m not downplaying anything that needs to be decided or allegations of any kind, but when I love somebody, I love them wholeheartedly. I know people are going to be angry about that, but they can’t put their value on my relationship with somebody I love.”

John Cena will be back in action in the main event of night two of WrestleMania 41 when he faces Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Should he win, Cena will become champion for a record 17th time, moving him past Ric Flair on the all-time list.

Despite speculation he’s looking to launch some kind of entertainment company, McMahon has largely remained away from the spotlight since leaving WWE.
