John Cena Reacts To Liv Morgan’s WWE Return Costing Him Championship
WWE legend John Cena officially hung up his boots last month following the end of his retirement tour at Saturday Night’s Main Event at the Capitol One Arena in Washington, DC.
In his illustrious professional wrestling career, there was only one belt that eluded Cena throughout his time in WWE, the Intercontinental Championship, but he got his hands on the title during his final match in his hometown of Boston, Massachusetts.
Cena defeated Dominik Mysterio to win the belt and finally become a grand-slam champion, just a month before his retirement, but lost the title back to the younger Mysterio at Survivor Series later that month.
Liv Morgan returned to WWE during John Cena’s penultimate match
Like Cena, Dom won back the Intercontinental Championship in his hometown of San Diego, after his on-screen girlfriend, Liv Morgan, made her return to the promotion to help him win the match.
Morgan kicked Cena between the legs and hit him with the title to help Dom win, and spoke about the same during her recent appearance on What’s Your Story? With Steph McMahon podcast. Stephanie posted the clip on her X account, and Cena responded to Liv’s comments and stated that it was an honor to be part of Liv’s return.
Isn’t that 2 jobs? Semantics aside, an unforgettable night and a honor to be a part of what brought you back into a @WWE ring! https://t.co/S7afTmMZH1

After being defeated by Dominik in his penultimate match, John Cena would lose his final WWE match as well, going out of the business by giving back to it and putting Gunther over in the process.
