John Cena Promises “Something Awesome” At WWE Night Of Champions
John Cena will be in action at Night of Champions.
John Cena is on his retirement tour and will be making a stop in Saudi Arabia for Night of Champions. The seventeen-time champion has urged the WWE Universe to tune in to the PLE to witness “something awesome”.
John Cena was at the SummerSlam Kickoff Show to hype his retirement tour and his upcoming match at Night of Champions. He was asked about his heel turn and what changed, but he chose not to answer those questions. However, he promised fans that they won’t be disappointed at Night of Champions and the upcoming shows.
“If you guys are digging what we’re doing on television, I hope you watch Night of Champions because it’s going to be effing great. I hope you liked SmackDown, I hope you like the next SmackDown because we’re cooking up something awesome for you. Watch Night of Champions.” [H/T Fightful]
John Cena Will Face CM Punk At Night Of Champions
John Cena will face one of his oldest rivals at Night of Champions in CM Punk. The Voice of the Voiceless challenged Cena to a title match on RAW a few weeks ago, Cena obliged to give him a shot at the WWE Championship at the PLE in Saudi Arabia.
While the match between the two is bound to blow the roof off the arena, the build to it has been nothing short. On SmackDown, the seventeen-time champion recreated the pipbomb Punk dropped on Cena fourteen years ago. In addition to the dynamics between the two, Seth Rollins has constantly reminded Cena and Punk that he holds the Money In The Bank briefcase and isn’t shy about following them to Saudi Arabia to recreate his heist of the century.
