John Cena Hailed For Pro Wrestling Impact By AEW Star

Kenny Omega has given his honest assessment of WWE icon John Cena and those looking for anything negative will have to look elsewhere.

John Cena is a sixteen-time champion of the world in WWE where he led the company for the best part of two decades as the company’s biggest star.

But for all of his in-ring achievements, Cena became equally as known for his unparalleled approach to charity making a huge amount of Make-A-Wish appearances over the years. These days he is best known for his exploits in Hollywood and John Cena stole the show at the Oscars when he appeared naked on stage.

Kenny Omega Calls John Cena “Incredible”

Speaking on Twitch, former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega did not shy away from sharing his thoughts on John Cena and admitted that Cena is exactly what the face of pro wrestling should be:

I think he’s great. I think he’s a great professional wrestler. I think he’s done an incredible amount for the business I don’t think anyone will be able to match anytime soon. And I think the reason why is because I think Cena, he wasn’t doing anything for the sake of some kind of accomplishment or trophy or award, or even for recognition.

I think people went out of their way after the fact to say, ‘Hey, look at all this stuff John’s doing in his off time.’ Maybe he even lost count of it himself, but for the amount of effort that he has put in to make people’s lives better, whether it be the Make-A-Wish stuff, or just fans at the arenas, autograph signings, all that stuff he does.

He’s a great example for what the face of a company should be, or for the face of an industry should be. So, I’m a very big proponent of John Cena. I think he’s incredible.

John Cena recently met AEW star MJF on the red carpet at the premiere of The Iron Claw. Cena admitted he was afraid MJF was going to try and turn the meeting into “a moment” but ended up pleasantly surprised.
