John Cena Reveals Immediate Plans After WWE Final Match

John Cena Last Time Is Now

John Cena’s retirement date arrives in just over a week.

At last year’s Money in the Bank PLE, Cena made a surprise appearance, announcing that he was retiring from wrestling and that 2025 would he his final year in the squared circle.

He returned during WWE RAW’s Netflix debut on January 6, following which he showed up on pre-decided dates.

After winning the Elimination Chamber, he turned heel and attacked Cody Rhodes, in the process aligning with The Rock.

He became the record 17-time World Champion at WrestleMania 41 and continued competing against his long-standing rivals like Randy Orton and CM Punk.

John Cena dropped his heel persona before SummerSlam, also dropping the title at the said PLE to Cody Rhodes.

More recently, he became the Intercontinental Champion, which also earned him the Grand Slam status, before dropping it again to Dominik Mysterio.

The 48-year-old recently appeared on The Jimmy Kimmel Show, where he discussed his fast-approaching retirement from wrestling and his subsequent plans.

That night, I’m going to spend a lot of time with the folks I love, who I connect strongly with. The next day, I hope to wake up hungover. [H/T: Fightful]

Who Will John Cena Wrestle At Saturday Night’s Main Event?

John Cena’s final opponent is being determined through the “Last Time Is Now” tournament.

16 men have competed in it across several weeks, with Gunther and LA Knight emerging as the finalists. The final match will take place on the December 5 SmackDown episode.

For weeks, multiple reports have emerged claiming that Gunther will be Cena’s final opponent.

Elsewhere, his father has opposed the idea of the rumored plans.
