John Cena Picking His Last WWE Opponents

John Cena

John Cena could be set to flip the script and run things back with one of his biggest WWE rivals.

John Cena is in the final weeks of his time as a WWE Superstar, with only a handful of dates left on his final deal with the company.

Cena has broken records as a 17-time WWE Champion during his final year, as well as reliving key feuds from his career with the likes of Randy Orton and CM Punk. At Wrestlepalooza, John Cena was decimated by Brock Lesnar, with The Beast Incarnate picking up a win in his first match in two years.

Now, with questions being raised over who Cena’s last opponent will be, the man himself put the cat amongst the pigeons when he took to social media to ask who wants to see him take on AJ Styles once again.

John Cena Calling The Plays?

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that if John Cena really wanted to face AJ Styles again before his WWE run is over, then that will happen, despite not originally being part of the plan:

Originally, that was not the plan, but there are a lot of people who want to see it, and he probably wants to do it. And look, if he wants to do it, it’s gonna get done. He’s picking his opponents. I don’t know who his final one is gonna be. I wouldn’t be surprised if he loses the last one because that would make sense.

John Cena has been adamant that he is doing whatever WWE asks him during his final run with the company. Cena made that explicitly clear when Triple H claimed that Cena had asked to work with Brock Lesnar, leading to the controversial star’s return to the company despite being named dozens of times in the sexual abuse lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon.
