John Cena Excited For “Once-In-A-Lifetime Opportunity”
John Cena is ready to return to Boston.
On the November 10 episode of Monday Night Raw, a 16-man tournament will get underway to decide John Cena’s final opponent. The show will also see Cena return to Boston for the final time as an active WWE performer.
When announcing the tournament, Cena confirmed that spots would be open to wrestlers on Raw, SmackDown, and NXT, as well as those who “don’t work here.”
Cena’s retirement match is set to take place at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 in Washington, D.C. Ever since confirming his retirement, Cena has remained adamant that he won’t wrestle again beyond that night in Washington.
John Cena Promises More Surprises
In a new post on social media, Cena expressed his excitement for the show and again hinted that surprises will be on the way. Many expect this will involve stars from TNA and AAA competing in the tournament.
“Seeing all the excitement around Monday Night #WWERaw in Boston. Can’t wait to see the matchups and surprises 👀 for the Last Time is Now tournament. This is a true once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for everyone involved. See you Monday LIVE @tdgarden and on @netflix”
In a new interview, Natalya said that Dominik Mysterio should be the man to retire John Cena. It’s been reported that Cena will challenge Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship at Survivor Series.
