John Cena Confirms Number Of Dates On Retirement Tour

John Cena Reveals Which Match Finish He Felt Was

John Cena has laid out plans for his retirement tour.

At Money In The Bank, John Cena announced he’ll retire in 2025. Although fans initially thought he’d be retiring at WrestleMania 41, Cena later clarified that he wants to compete from January to December.

The veteran has now shared more details about how he plans to end his WWE career.

During a new interview with Collider, Cena said he wants to wrestle “36 dates around the world” before he finally retires.

“I can probably confirm that Peacemaker will take us to the end of 2024, and I can say that with the utmost conviction because I have given the calendar year 2025 to WWE.

I am retiring in 2025, and I start that farewell tour in January. I’ll end it in December, and it’s going to be right around 36 dates around the world to pay thanks and gratitude to the WWE audiences around the world. So that’s what I’m doing in 2025.”

John Cena Won’t Break Retirement Promise

Speaking elsewhere, John Cena said there’s no way he’ll get back in the ring after he retires in December 2025.

Wrestling retirements are notoriously flimsy and their finality tends to depend on how much money is on the table, but Cena is determined to be different. The veteran said there “isn’t a check writer with enough money to change my mind” on retirement, while he’s wary of ruining his relationship with fans who have supported him.

Bron Breakker recently said his dream would be to retire the 16-time World Champion.
