John Cena’s Next Challenger To Be Revealed At MITB – It’s Not Cody Rhodes
John Cena’s farewell tour has been all about closing chapters, just like he did with Randy Orton. He might be working on closing the chapter with Cody Rhodes at Money in the Bank, and solidifying the future with another superstar.
The Champ is teaming up with Logan Paul at Money in the Bank 2025 to take on Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes in a tag team match.
It’s a high-stakes match considering all four names are top superstars in the company, with two of them being current world champions.
John Cena’s next opponent will be his current tag team partner
Cody Rhodes’ story with The Franchise Player might not be the angle which the wrestling juggernaut will pursue following Money in the Bank. The American Nightmare will definitely return to the Universal Championship story, but just not yet.
John Cena can be used for several new angles, with new singles matches. One such is having him go up against Logan Paul. There is no denying that The Maverick is an excellent performer, and would not shy away from the chance at becoming a world champion, especially if it means the possibility of dethroning John Cena!
During an episode of Behind The Turnbuckle Studios, Tommy C. laid out a scenario where The YouTube Star can emerge to be John Cena’s next opponent at MITB itself!
Jey and Mr. Cody are going to YEET their way out of the ring. They are going to win. And I think there is going to be some heat between Logan and Cena because they had a little heat last week, where he pushed him and stuff. So I think they are not going to get along and maybe, possibly have a title match with Cena and Logan down the line.
Logan Paul and John Cena coming together in a tag team was definitely not on anyone’s pro-wrestling bingo card this year, but the fans are ecstatic about how the story is unfolding!
